In February 1972, Michael A. Cardinale, Jr. established Cardinale Electric with a clear vision: to deliver the highest-quality electrical services to both homeowners and businesses. Quality has always been the cornerstone of our business philosophy, reflected in every aspect of our work. Mike led Cardinale Electric for 48 years until his passing from peritoneal mesothelioma in 2020.
“How can I light up your life” was the infamous question that Mike asked of all his customers.
Mike found great joy in being an electrician and ensuring his customers' satisfaction. While Mike was known for his humor, he was also known for his integrity, unwavering work ethic, and commitment to quality, he approached every task with seriousness, particularly when working within someone's home. With extensive expertise in state wiring codes, Mike was licensed in three states and was trained in fire investigation, underscoring his dedication to excellence and safety in his profession.
Mike dedicated his expertise as the Deputy Wiring Inspector for the Town of Hudson for 25 years. He conducted comprehensive inspections of homes after electrical work was completed, ensuring the work was completed in full compliance with the Massachusetts State Electrical Code.
Cardinale Electric is passionate about supporting vocational education, since 1980, we have regularly hired students from Assabet Valley Regional Vocational Technical High School to join our team. Mike himself was a proud graduate of Boston Trade High School’s Electrical Wiring Shop, Class of 1964, and he believed in investing in the future generation of tradespeople. It could be said that the commitment to Assabet's educational values has become a tradition within the Cardinale family, with seven members proudly representing Assabet alumni from the graduating classes of 1980, 1984, 1994, 1997, 2004, 2015, and 2017. Among the seven, are Mike's three children, as well as his niece and three nephews.
Today, Mike's legacy continues to endure and thrive through his son, Michael Anthony Cardinale. Michael exemplifies the same unwavering dedication to excellence that his father instilled in him and ensures that Cardinale Electric maintains its reputation for exceptional service, reliability, and integrity. Our customers not only expect but deserve these qualities from any contractor working in their home and business.
